Used And Vintage Electric Guitars

At Beckerco Music, we are huge fans of Gibson, and also of vintage guitars.  We've had plenty of vintage Gibson guitars here, but not many as unique as this one - a 1968 ES-335-12.  Yes, a 12 string version of the legendary ES-335.

Very few of these were made during a short production run in the late 60's (it debuted in 1965 and was discontinued by 1970, with only about 2,000 made).  Even fewer are still around.  And very, very few are in as good of condition as this one.  We recently took it in from a long-time client of ours, a local collector that bought the guitar here in the early 2000's.  Now it's back at Beckerco Music, and looking for a new home.

The body is constructed of a laminated maple, with a solid maple center block running down the center of the body - this not only gives it a warm tone, but also limits the problem of feedback at high volumes.  The 1-piece mahogany neck is very comfortable, and topped with a nice dark rosewood fretboard that's in great condition, accented beautifully with binding and block inlays.  The original pickups are in the guitar, with the patent number stickers on the back of each, and sound amazing.   All of the parts are original, except the tuners - those were replaced some years ago.  The guitar comes with a non-original hardshell case.

This guitar is in excellent shape, especially given its age (we're calling it a 7/10).  It has some dings, but they are small, and they only add to the character.  The finish has aged gracefully, with a beautiful patina all over the guitar - zoom in on the photos to see how the finish checking and everything on this guitar.  We are thrilled to have this guitar right now, but we know it won't be for long - this one is sure to go quick.
