 For those that crave uniqueness within a classic format, the Gibson Mod Collection is ideal.  This is where the historic guitar company takes things a step further, offering customized one-off models, rarities, protoypes and more.  We've been able to get our hands on a few, and love them all.  This one could be the coolest we've had.  It's a Custom Shop level guitar that's unlike anything we've seen out of the Custom Shop, and it's the only one ever made.

We present the Gibson Mod Collection 1957 Les Paul Custom Reissue Ivory Sandwich.  Yes, that's the official title of the color.  Take one look at the photos (specifically the side angle shots) and you'll see why.  The guitar has a custom finish with an Ivory top & back, brown sides, and white binding.  It's a truly unique look.  

It's not just about aesthetics - this is amazing feeling and sounding Les Paul.  The Rounded C neck shape is super comfortable, with a classic feel to the ebony fretboard, adorned with medium jumbo frets and a 12" radius.  The mahogany body isn't too heavy - the guitar weighs in at 8.9 lbs. 

Sound-wise, this one is hard to beat, with Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups, which are the historically accurate Patent Applied For replica with unbalanced coils and a sweet, warm sound.  Each Custombucker uses Alnico 3 magnets for a tone that accurately delivers the sonic characteristics of those highly cherished early humbuckers. Like the original Patent Applied For humbuckers, the Custombucker uses 42 AWG wire and unbalanced coils that are left unpotted for a historically accurate pickup that will please even the most discriminating player.

Other features include Kluson Waffleback tuners, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, and gold hardware.  The original case and Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Built in 2021, the guitar was purchased that year by a collector, and then basically nevery touched.  It's in excellent condition with barely a scratch on it.  This Les Paul Custom has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  It really does play like a dream, and kind of looks like one too!  It's the only one in existence, so you want to make this dream a reality for yourself, grab it before it's gone.
