Used And Vintage Acoustic Guitars

At Beckerco Music, we are fortunate enough to see some absolutely amazing guitars coming through the door - and rare ones too.  Occasionally, a true show stopper that fits both bills will appear and our jaws drop.  This is one of those.

We are proud to present the extremely rare Gibson Custom Shop Nick Lucas Elite Custom.  Very few of these were made, and there are none on the market at the moment.  For those that know, this is a special guitar that rarely makes an appearance with opportunity to own it.  Here it is, in all of its glory.

First and foremost, take a look at the remarkable wood grain of this guitar. The natural finish brings out the stunning flamed Maple back & sides, the very feature that makes this model so unique. Additionally, the instrument boasts a Sitka Spruce top, Ebony fretboard, and bone saddle, pins, and nut. Decorative touches such as headstock script and fretboard accents feature vibrant, multi-colored green and pink abalone. The guitar is completed by its one piece mahogany neck, adhering to the Gibson "C" shape and width.

Originally produced in a limited run (1999-2002) as the “Nick Lucas Elite,” the Elite Custom was in production for 1 year only.  All Nick Lucas Elite models in this 3 year period come with Ebony fretboards but only the “Custom” models have the gorgeous flamed Maple.

It's a unique guitar but will feel comfortable in your hands immediately.  Tone-wise, it's also unique - the deeper body gives you the sound of a bigger guitar while still retaining the tightness and comfort of a small body acoustic.  That's what players love about the Nick Lucas model in general.  It's full, rich and powerful without sounding boxy like others.  It's suitable for a variety of styles.

The previous owner of this guitar was obviously very meticulous and careful, as it's in excellent condition with hardly a glancing scratch on it.  The original case is included.  It's been setup by the techs in our shop to play perfectly, and it truly does!

This is a rare bird, a perfect example of what Gibson's acoustic shop has excelled at for many years, and a very special guitar.
