Originally released in the 1960s, the Gibson Dove is a robust and powerful acoustic guitar with a square-shouldered design and maple back and sides. Its long scale offers a clear and defined tone, while the body shape provides a balanced and warm sound. This exceptional guitar boasts a bone nut and saddle, double antiqued multi-ply binding, nickel Grover Keystone tuners, a classic Dove truss rod cover, and a beloved pickguard featuring an inlaid mother-of-pearl Dove with hand-engraved and painted details.
If you want a full bodied acoustic sound, one that covers the tonal specturm with shimmering highs and resonant lows, and a beautiful aesthetic, this is the guitar for you. This guitar is in excellent condition, as it came from one of our favorite sources, a long-time customer that keeps all of his gear in primo shape. He only owned this for a short period and barely ever played. That makes it a great score at this price!
