Used And Vintage Electric Guitars

Here's a wonderful opportunity to get a super clean vintage National Studio 66 from 1962 that truly evokes the style of the '60s!  Rarely seen in this condition, our eye got wide as soon as it sauntered in the door.

This National is a Res-O-Glas bodied guitar with a single pickup and simple Volume and Tone controls. The larger body is actually quite light and very resonant for its size. The pickup gives you that classic 60's tone. The trapeze tailpiece gives this guitar ample sustain. You'll love the style of the pickguard and headstock - there's nothing else like it.

This instrument was made in the USA in 1962 by Valco, who was the original manufacturer for Gretsch, Harmony, Kay and Oahu amplifiers in the 1940’s and well into the late 1960’s.  Valco began making  electric guitars in the early 1950’s under a variety of brand names including Supro, Airline, National and Oahu.  The 1961 & ‘62 Studio 66 models were made with a solidbody of Res-O-Glas, 1 bridge pickup and came in a Sand Buff color.  Valco added a black model (1963-64) with the neck pickup and discontinued the Studio 66 model  altogether in 1964.

This unique piece of the 60's is all original, in excellent condition and comes with a case.  It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  There aren't many of these out there, so if you dig it, grab it before it's gone!
