Up for sale is a Gibson modder's dream, this Mod Collection 1961 SG Standard Reissue VOS with an illustrious Trans Blue finish.  For those that crave uniqueness within a classic format, the Gibson Mod Collection is ideal.  This is where the historic guitar company takes things a step further, offering customized one-off models, rarities, protoypes and more.  We've been able to get our hands on a few, and love them all.  This one is quite interesting.  It's a Custom Shop level guitar that's unlike anything we've seen out of the Custom Shop, and it's the only one ever made.

This Mod Collection 1961 SG Standard comes with an exclusive custom Tans Blue finish, rarely, if ever, seen or found.  It's super cool - and while the photos we took look great, it's even better in person.  If you're into unique Gibson guitars, you'd found a winner right here.

You get a mahogany neck with an authentic '61 profile with a rosewood fingerboard for a comfortable feel that is geniune Gibson goodness. Your ears will delight in the thick tones of its pair of Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups that are versatile enough for any playing style, clean or driven tones. Combined with its Volume and Tone controls per pickup and a 3-way toggle selector, there are no tones unavailable to you. Stay in tune with its Grover tuners and ABR-1 bridge and bone nut, which also provides excellent sustain. With its aged hardware you get an accent of vintage perfection.

This guitar is in good condition - not perfect, but that's not what you're looking for in a player like this.  There are some dings and honest player wear but nothing major.  We got it with a chip on the back of the neck, which we fixed here in our shop - there's a slight color variance there, but it cannot be felt at all - it's super smooth.  Photos show it all.

The guitar is all original and comes with its original hardshell case and paperwork.  It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  This is a chance to get a one of a kind SG, which may go fast!
