Pre Owned 2016 Gibson SG Standard Heritage Cherry With OHSC

If you're in the market for a quality American made SG with some nice modifications to make it even better, you've found it!  We just took in this great Gibson SG Standard in the classic color of Heritage Cherry.  Built in 2016, it's been upgraded with Seymour Duncan Antiquity humbuckers, CTS pots, RS tone caps and a bone nut.  

The SG was birthed in 1961, intended by Gibson to be a new and improved Les Paul, but the man himself wasn't a fan - and then the guitar took on a life of its own.  Artists as varied as Tony Iommi and Sister Rosetta Tharpe played one....and then of course Angus Young, Frank Zappa and Derek Trucks have made it their axe of choice.  

This SG Standard features a mahogany body and neck, which has a Slip Taper profile for easy, fast playing.  The rosewood fretboard is adorned with pearloid trapezoid inlays.  Individual tone and volume controls and a 3-way switch give you full control over the tone.  Here are the upgrades done by the previous owner to this particular guitar:

An SG Standard is a great guitar in general, but with those mods, it's even better.   The guitar is in excellent condition, has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, and comes with the original hardshell case.  And, it's light - just 7.1 lbs.  This one is a winner for sure!
