What does fusion mean to you? Is it nuclei fusing together to make new forms of energy? Multi-cultural cuisine? Or is it this beautiful Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion II guitar? That's right we have for you this amazing archtop that qualifies as a rare bird, as these are rarely seen.

This is an exquisite archtop that is wonderful on the eyes and even better on the fingers and ears. What else could you expect from a guitar bearing such a name. As a member of the Wrecking Crew and his records, Howard Roberts is featured on countless iconic recordings. This instrument was made to his specifications and what you get is a box that is perfect for anything you want to play on it. What you get is an ES-175 body with a deep Florentine cutaway for easy access to the upper register of the fingerboard. You want a great pickups? Its got Bill Lawrence designed HB-R/L pickups and resonant maple body. This is a great guitar not to be missed and perfect for anyone that appreciates the finer things in life!

These (the Fusion models)  were originally made from 1979 to 2009.  This particular was built in 1989 and bought from the Hollywood Gibson Custom Shop.  The modifications on the guitar were done in the factory by Robert Giffen himself.   The lower Tone knob (when pulled out) serves as a Coil Tap.   The other Tone knob places the pickups Out of Phase (when pulled out).

This Howard Roberts is in excellent condition, with some signs of being played of course, but not much for wear.  It comes with the original hardshell case.  The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop....and it seriously does play amazingly well.  This is quite the find!
