Pre Owned 1973 Gibson SG Special Walnut With Bigsby With Case

 
Up for sale is this rare vintage Gibson SG Special from 1973 - as soon as it waltzed in the door here, it became one of the coolest guitars in the house.  Some may call it a rock machine.  Some may call it a soul machine.  Some may just call it a super vibey 70's SG that sounds amazing.

The SG is an iconic Gibson electric guitar. From its distinct slim body and double cutaway to its humbucking pickups, this is an instrument, played on countless stages and recordings. The mahogany neck has a gorgeous rosewood fretboard and C shape that is very comfortable.  The mini humbuckers give you plenty of fat tone perfect to push hard on an amp or pedals. This SG features a Bigsby giving you the ability to perform expressive bending.  You don't see may of them out there, especially with this much character.

This guitar has had a previous headstock repair done by the top luthier here at Truetone years ago, and it's held stable ever since.  The frets are fine and could use a dressing down the road, as this is an early 70's piece, but that's each player's preference.  It has been fully vetted and is in good condition and comes.  The guitar comes with a non-original hardshell case.  It's a unique piece for sure, complete with a random sticker on it.  This is player's grade vintage gear, and a guitar made to be played.
